Glendora City Council Ratifies Public Works Director Appointment and Tentatively Authorizes Litigation Settlement

The Glendora City Council met in closed session to discuss the appointment of the Public Works Director. Upon reconvening, the council tentatively authorized the ratification of Hal Ghaffari to the position of Public Works Director, as appointed by the City Manager. This action was authorized under Government Code Section 54957(b). Additionally, the council met on a separate closed session item concerning anticipated litigation, authorized under Government Code Section 54956.9(d)(2) and (e)(1) due to significant exposure to litigation in one case. The council tentatively authorized a settlement amount for this litigation, subject to the receipt and approval of a final settlement agreement.
