Western Avenue Raised Crosswalk Replacement Project Awarded for $62,000
The council approved awarding a bid to Lavender Construction Incorporated for $62,000 to replace a raised crosswalk on Western Avenue. Currently, the establishment is restricted to patrons 21 and over due to its Class A liquor license. The proposed changes include using different colored bracelets for age verification and requiring individuals under 18 to leave by 10 p.m. to avoid intermingling with college-age patrons. The council held a public hearing and then moved to consider the ordinance, which was placed on the agenda for a future committee of the whole meeting.
City Council Approves Ward Map, Wastewater Project RFPs, and Committee Appointments
