Biannual Personnel Financial Disclosure Ordinance Up for Readoption
A biannual ordinance establishing procedures for the disclosure of potential conflicts of interest by municipal officials, employees, and candidates is up for readoption, as required by the Missouri Ethics Commission. Natatorium Closure Planned for Summer 2027 for Major Renovations
The Parks Director provided an update on upcoming natatorium projects for summer 2027, which will necessitate closing the natatorium from approximately June 1st to August 15th. Major projects include deck tile replacement, shell plastering, painting, sauna rebuild, slide restoration, and starting box replacement. To offset the closure, RecPlex members will be granted free access to outdoor pools, similar to a successful initiative in 2024. Modified outdoor pool hours will also be implemented. Drainage Study and Master Plan for High Point Acres Recommended
A recommendation is being made to enter into an engineering services agreement with HR Green for the High Point Acres Drainage Area Study and Master Plan. This older area of town, developed in the 1950s and 60s, has historical drainage and flooding concerns. The project aims to evaluate the watershed, review these concerns, and recommend solutions, as the area lacks typical subdivision infrastructure like storm sewer pipes and curb and gutters. The scope includes storm source mapping, hydraulic modeling, developing alternatives, and creating final conceptual plans. HR Green was selected from 11 submittals due to their skilled staff, project approach, and related experience, including designing the Fairfax stormwater project. The negotiated cost is $141,154, budgeted in the FY26 Local Parks and Stormwater Fund. The project is anticipated to start in August and be completed by January. Land Use Development Master Plan Update Includes Definition for 'Missing Middle Housing'
